Every year, I have the privilege of being one of the official pridefest photographers.

Pridefest is Milwaukee’s big pride festival held at the Henry W. Maier Festival Grounds on the lakefront for over 30 years. The festival runs three days and currently boasts 7 stages filled with entertainment.

As an official photographer, I always aim to focus on the festival’s attendees instead of just through capturing the artists performing on stage. The festival is so much more than just the entertainment. So I tell this story with images sometimes overlooked by many other photographers… those of the people not on stage.
